Hyperpigmentation

A number of factors can trigger an increase in melanin production, but the main ones are sun exposure, hormonal influences, age and skin injuries or inflammation.

Hormonal influences are the main cause hyperpigmentation known as melasma or chloasma. It’s particularly common among women and is thought to occur when the female hormones estrogen and progesterone stimulate the overproduction of melanin when skin is exposed to the sun or a side effect or certain hormone treatments.

Hyperpigmentation is also symptomatic of certain illnesses such as some autoimmune and gastrointestinal diseases, metabolic disorders and vitamin deficiencies. It can also be triggered by medications such as chemotherapy drugs, antibiotics, antimalarials and anti-seizure drugs.

Treatments for Hyperpigmentation

We offer a range of advanced, clinically proven treatments to safely and effectively reduce hyperpigmentation and restore a more even, radiant complexion.

Chemical Peels
Medical-grade chemical peels use exfoliating solutions to remove the outer layers of pigmented skin, revealing fresher, more even-toned skin underneath. Peels can be customized based on skin type and pigmentation depth.

RF Microneedling (Radio Frequency with Skin Needling)
Combining microneedling with radio frequency helps remodel skin from within, improving texture and fading post-inflammatory pigmentation and acne scars over time.

Brightening Treatments
Professional-grade products containing ingredients like azelaic acid, kojic acid, niacinamide, retinoids, and vitamin C can help regulate melanin production and fade dark spots with consistent use.

LED Light Therapy
Blue and red light therapy can calm inflammation and help treat pigmentation associated with acne, while also supporting skin healing.

Skin Lightening IV Drips

Consistent use of IV infusion will help pigmentation reduce overtime. Giving an overall lighter and brighter complexion.

Choosing the Right Treatment:
Every skin is unique, and successful treatment of hyperpigmentation depends on the cause, depth, and skin type. During your consultation, our skin experts will assess your skin and customize a plan that combines treatments and homecare for safe, effective results.
